“We can’t all be heroes.  Some of us have to stand on the curb and clap as they walk by”

– Will Rogers

The O & A (Oklahoma and Arkansas) Honor Flight team is dedicated to serving our veterans by flying the veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials that have been built in their honor. This experience is an exciting, emotional and whirlwind of a day, but a day we hope that you would like to be a part of.

The O & A Honor Flight is giving top priority to the World War II veterans, Korean veterans, and Vietnam veterans along with other veterans who may be terminally ill.

The O & A Honor Flight is a non-profit organization and became an official Honor Flight network member in September, 2015. We were able to accomplish this wonderful task in a very timely manner with the assistance of the Northwest Arkansas Honor Flight and for that we are grateful for all of their work and compassion for all veterans.

  2. Thank you for continuing this amazing mission! I am a Vietnam veteran and volunteered as a Guardian for Oklahoma Honor flight September 2013. I had the privilege of Guarding WWII veteran, Denzil Garrison. This would turn out to be a life changing experience for me! I am still in touch with Mr. Garrison today, and will always cherish the experience. I continue to seek out WWII & Korean veterans in my area to encourage them to apply. I cannot find the words to adequately express my thanks to all who volunteer to make this happen. Bless you all!

    1. Thank you for contacting us. The honor flight trip to DC is an awesome experience & you do make life long friends with it. My husband & I went as guardians about 4 years ago. We did not know our veterans. Come to find out our veterans were best friends in high school but had lost touch with each other for over 30 years & were reunited on the honor flight. We still keep in touch with both of them. They both turned 90 this year. It is amazing the friends you make!

If you would like to go as a guardian again please send in your application. Also if you can help us get the word out as there are still a lot of veterans that don’t know about the honor flight. Also, any contacts for businesses or corporations that would be interested in sponsoring a veteran or donating would be appreciated too. Without generous donations the honor flight would not be possible.
      Thanks again for your support
